Summary:  

The purpose of the given project is reception of the new modern information on number and distribution Oxyura leucocephala, Vanellus gregarious and other waterfowl in territory of lakes and steppes of a southeast part of Western Siberia. At realization of the project field accounts of birds on lakes and in steppe, conversations with local residents, publications in newspapers will be used. Obtained data will be included in recommendations for the local government on protection of these kinds that will promote preservation of birds in the future. The project will be carried out by young experts that will allow to make use of the received experience in the further work.
