Conservation and management of Bako-Buntal Bay as staging and wintering site for migratory birds

The conservation of shorebirds within Bako-Buntal Bay as part of staging sites for migratory shorebirds within the East Asian-Australasian Flyway. Batrisyia monitors the number of shorebirds present in the bay, along with identification of any potential threats to them. She also conducts surveys to better understand the perception of local communities towards conservation and management initiatives of Bako-Buntal Bay. The overall goal of her project is to improve the conservation and management of Bako-Buntal Bay and to promote the recognition of the bay as an important migratory bird area.
