Establishing a mangrove alliance in Latin America and the Caribbean

The BirdLife Americas Program has identified the establishment of a Mangrove Alliance as a priority for 2010 in delivering key components of the Important Bird Area and Preventing Extinctions Programs and the flyways initiative. Its overall purpose is to conserve and sustainably use Neotropical mangroves through the coordinated engagement of a mangrove stakeholder alliance. The intern’s role will be to establish the Mangrove Alliance through a variety of outputs.
