Geographic Information Systems and Monitoring Information System Reporting

The overall goal of the internship is to help CI – Greater Mekong organize its GIS data/information, support an on-going prioritization process to target national areas for ecosystem importance, and maintain the Monitoring Information System Reporting (MIST).  The data need to be archived and accessible, and updated with information via other efforts (e.g., Cambodian Atlas project). The prioritization exercise is institution wide, and includes information such as forest cover change, water flow/links to human populations, and food security (fisheries). MIST data is collected on protected forest and fisheries patrols, and needs to be translated into monthly reports to support on-going efforts tracking enforcement effectiveness.
