SUPPORTED PROJECTS

For sustainable recovery of grey-shanked douc monkeys in Vietnam

Thang Long Ha

This project is designed to ensure the sustainable recovery of the grey-shanked douc monkey population in Kon Ka Kinh National Park as well as to educate local people about the conservation value of the species. Park rangers will receive training to conduct a population monitoring programme of this monkey and other primates in key distribution areas within the National Park. An awareness-raising programme focusing on school children will be run by the environmental education department of the Park and local teachers. The project also aims to support the park authority and minority groups to work together on making decisions to manage nature resources.
