Since it was founded in 1985, CLP has grown into a network of over 4,400 conservation leaders worldwide, and this number continues to increase.
CLP’s vision of supporting the next generation of conservation leaders extends through this alumni network, which includes our CLP award winners and those who have completed career placements with CLP’s support.
We offer the following active programs exclusively for our alumni:
Alumni Grants: These grants support professional development, offering unique travel funding to attend conferences or training courses. They provide alumni with the chance to expand their knowledge and network. This helps further their conservation careers and impact.
Learning Exchange Programme: This programme enables two alumni to collaborate and learn together at project sites. They work toward a common goal, such as exchanging ideas or sharing insights for their respective projects. The exchange fosters hands-on learning, teamwork, and professional growth for both participants.
LinkedIn Group for CLP Alumni: This initiative provides a dedicated CLP Alumni Group on LinkedIn where members can share news, opportunities, and engage directly with CLP staff and fellow alumni. It’s a space for immediate exchanges and networking within our alumni community. CLP alumni: Please request to join this group if you haven’t already.
Specialized Training: CLP organizes sporadic training in key areas like Conservation Leadership, Project Planning, Fundraising, Behavior Change, and Writing for Conservation. These sessions are offered periodically in regions worldwide to meet the needs of our alumni. They provide valuable skills and knowledge to strengthen conservation efforts.
Our alumni play a critical role in achieving vital conservation goals, and we are proud they are the roots and heart of CLP!
