Biodiversity assessments and community carbon inventory in high conservation value forest

The internship is envisaged to meet 3 objectives: 1) exposure to a broad range of biodiversity conservation issues in the Philippines. The intern will work closely with FFI staff on gap analysis, evaluation of effectiveness of protected area and strategic planning together with/and amongst partners of the Foundation for the Philippines Environment; 2) field training: half of the internship period will be spent in the field. The intern will work alongside FFI Philippines technical staff in biodiversity assessments, survey of high conservation value forest and community carbon inventory. She will be trained on various field techniques associated to the surveys above; 3) practical training organization/project management: the intern will experience the various stages of the project cycle, project monitoring and evaluation whilst working alongside FFI staff in implementing their project.
