Biodiversity research for park management and community development

This internship falls under WCS’ strategy of being a hub for continuous skill transfer for future enthusiastic conservationists for Rwanda. The intern will be particularly attached to practical activities related to biodiversity research and the use of research information in Nyungwe National Park management and community development. Specific skills and activities include the design and implementation of assisted natural forest regeneration, wildlife survey design and implementation activities, wilderness navigation, community development and education activities, as well as activities of community engagement in the park’s protection. The intern will also be involved in scientific writing and technical reporting work.
