Conservation of endangered migratory bird species within the East Atlantic Flyway initiative

This Career Placement will contribute to the reduction of threats to migratory bird species and the protection of key coastal wetlands along the East Atlantic Flyway (EAF) through supporting conservation initiatives like the conservation of the Black-tailed Godwit (BTG) and Climate Resilience for Critical Sites for Migratory Birds and People (IKI) projects, aligned with the Africa-Eurasian Flyway Strategy. Responsibilities include desk work and field activities to monitor high-risk areas, collaborate with local and national authorities for enforcement, and share best practices to mitigate habitat loss as well as engaging site support groups, with a focus on youth and women, to promote community-driven conservation.
