Coral reef monitoring in Tanzania

The overall goal of this reef monitoring career placement is to contribute to the conservation and management of coral reef ecosystems by collecting and analysing data on reef health, biodiversity, and environmental parameters. Under the supervision of the Ecological Data Manager, Luqman will be involved in field surveys, data collection, and collaboration with scientists and local stakeholders. He will also be engaging in supporting ongoing community based conservation efforts, informing and raising awareness among the conservation communities, and promoting the long-term sustainability of coral reef ecosystems which is an important contributing factor to sustainable marine resources management and conservation in Tanzania.
