Initiated in 1985, the Conservation Leadership Programme (CLP) is a partnership of three world-renowned conservation organisations: Fauna & Flora, BirdLife International and the Wildlife Conservation Society, embedded within the Cambridge Conservation Initiative.
Our Focus: We support early-career local conservationists and projects in biodiverse countries that often lack resources for conservation.
What We Do: CLP remains the sole programme offering the full suite of support to early-career conservation leaders, including funding, training, mentorship and continuous peer-to-peer support through an extensive global alumni network.
Our Impact: As the longest-running training programme, CLP has a proven record of success in building the careers of conservationists and empowering them in their efforts to overcome major threats to nature.
