2022 CLP Future Conservationist Awards – Latin America - July 2022

Watch this video for a summary of our 2022 Future Conservationist Award-winning projects in the Latin America and Caribbean region! These awards are supporting work by teams of early-career conservationists, mainly in low- to middle-income countries, who have not previously been supported by CLP. The teams receive a grant of up to $15,000 for projects lasting between 3 and 12 months. Team members are also invited to participate in our international Conservation Management & Leadership workshop and join the alumni network to gain access to other grants, training and mentoring opportunities.

Our 2023 Team Awards competition is now open until 10 October, 2022! Teams who have not previously received a CLP Team Award are eligible to apply for one of our Future Conservationist Awards. Celebrating young conservation leaders at the IUCN Global Youth Summit 2021 - March 2021

CLP is a proud sponsor of the first-ever virtual IUCN Global Youth Summit (5-16 April, 2021). This annual event brought approximately 10,000 young conservation leaders together from around the world, to strengthen connections and interdisciplinary learning, provide a space for conservation storytelling, and drive momentum for change. Activities included youth-led capacity building workshops, networking events, and contributions to an outcome document that will be delivered to IUCN’s World Conservation Congress in 2021. At the summit, CLP hosted two networking sessions, one on 6 April (3PM GMT) and the other on 7 April (10AM GMT, in French).



A Celebration of Support for Conservation Leaders - February 2021

CLP recently reached an exciting milestone in its 35-year history. The programme has now surpassed $10 million in funds awarded to early-career conservationists across the world. This video celebrates the incredible achievements of CLP leaders, and helps us look ahead to the next three decades with hope for the future of our planet.
