Assessing impacts and potential conservation solutions related to tourism and coastal development in Con Dao

Fauna & Flora International (FFI) are currently commencing marine conservation work in Vietnam’s Con Dao archipelago, which supports some of the country’s best remaining marine biodiversity. To support this process, the intern will support baseline data collection for key threats in the islands, focusing on intensifying challenges yet to receive conservation attention, such as the seafood trade, growing tourism and increasing coastal development. The intern’s work will support marine project M&E, and the intern will also prioritise interventions which FFI might undertake to address these threats in order to promote sustainable development of the Con Dao islands.
