Bird species survey in Boni and Dodori Forest Reserves, north coast of Kenya
Timothy Mwinami
Boni and Dodori's potential as an Important Bird Area (IBA) has been prone to insecurity in the past, and for a long time, researchers were not been able to visit this area. Although the situation has recently improved and a few expeditions have been undertaken, the conservation status of the species inhabiting this area is still largely unknown. The main goal of the project is to conduct avian surveys. We intend to subject the avifauna information to IBA identification criteria and determine whether the IBA's status can be uplifted to a full IBA.
