Incorporation of perceptions and attitudes of rural people into conservation planning in Patagonia

For the intern, the overall goal is to learn about working with local people and incorporating their perceptions and attitudes into strategic conservation planning. For the host institution, the overall goal is to obtain and analyze data on the perceptions and attitudes of the rural people who impact our conservation targets in the Andean Patagonia Steppe Landscape, and use this information to design more effective strategies for working with these people to reduce their impacts on wildlife and improve their livelihoods.
