Seascape and marine program support
The overall goal of the internship is for the intern to learn practical skills on liaising and strengthening CI Fiji’s linkage with communities and partner organizations to support the development of a marine program in Fiji. The intern will undertake a detailed literature review of scientific research done in Southern Lau and the Lau group to put together a logical framework of why the Southern Lau Group should be considered a potential marine protected area with pockets of terrestrial sites of national significance. The intern will also undertake stakeholder analysis to identify the parties and partners that CI will need to be aware of and critical stakeholders that CI will need to link up with. Part of the stakeholder analysis will be the identification of key issues that drive development options in the region to underpin key risks to critical natural capital in the Lau Group.
