Supporting the BirdLife Americas Secretariat in IBA research and prioritization, Ecuador
Francisco José Prieto Albuja
The publication of the launch of the Americas Important Bird Area (IBA) directory in May 2010, which documented 2345 IBAs throughout the Americas, marked an important milestone in the Americas IBA programme, and paved the way for a series of next steps. The Americas Secretariat has identified a series of priority actions for 2011-2012 to complete these next steps. The overall aim of the internship is to train an intern to provide support to the Partners to take next steps following IBA identification.
