Supporting production of information and knowledge to improve conservation action in Mesoamerica´s last wild places

This internship will contribute to the development of the 'Human Footprint' in Mesoamerica, an analysis that has the objective of understanding conservation trends in the biggest and wildest areas in Southern Mexico, Belize, Guatemala, Honduras, El Salvador, Nicaragua, Costa Rica and Panama. The outcomes and information products of the analysis will be used to inform decision makers, and inspire public and political support to improve conservation action in an area of critical importance because of its biodiversity and to maintain biological connectivity between South and North America.
