Building capacity to manage watershed impacts on the Belize Barrier Reef

The Belize Barrier Reef is under threat from activities occurring in the watersheds draining to it. This project aims to build capacity to monitor the threats to this World Heritage Site and provide data to help manage it in the future. The project will teach us how to complete freshwater biological, hydrological and chemical assessment, as well as how to use and link geographical and remote sensing information to it. We will also contribute data to facilitate the development and testing of local watershed assessment tools.
